12-Year-Old Boy Dies in Flower Mound Crash

A 12-year-old boy died Tuesday in a four-car accident on U.S. 377 in Flower Mound, police said.

A pickup waiting to turn left off the highway was rear-ended by a car and pushed into oncoming traffic.

An approaching driver tried to avoid the truck but lost control and struck another vehicle on the highway.

The boy, a passenger in the car that went out of control, died at the scene.

That car’s driver and a passenger in it were taken to area hospitals. The passenger was reportedly in stable condition; the driver’s condition was not known.

No one else was seriously injured.

The boy, a resident of Flower Mound, had not been identified.
