Cops ID Port Washington Fatal Slip and Fall Victim
Nassau police have identified the 57-year-old woman who was found dead in a Port Washington canal on Saturday afternoon.
Jeanne Wilde slipped off of an icy landing to her houseboat docked off of Matinecock Avenue and struck her head at 2:19 p.m., police said.
A passerby discovered the victim floating in the water and called police. The victim was pronounced dead 10 minutes later.
