Massachusetts Nursing Home Abuse
A Dalton, Massachusetts woman was arrested Saturday for taking an elderly disabled veteran’s money and leaving him in a hot basement swarming with flies, authorities said.
Crystal Machelle Bryant, 33, of 448 W. Field Road, was charged by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony theft and cruelty to a person 65 years or older. She bonded out of the jail on Sunday for $10,000. A date for an appearance in Superior Court has not been set, a jail spokesman said.
