Mother of Man Killed By Police Files Wrongful Death Suit

The mother of a Charleston Man shot and killed by Charleston Police Officers has filed a lawsuit in Kanawha County Circuit Court.

Patricia Harrison told WSAZ.com Saturday night that her attorney filed a wrongful death lawsuit Friday.

Harrison’s son, Brian Good, lead police on a chase outside of Charleston city limits in September.

Police say that Good was using his truck as a deadly weapon when he rammed it into police cruisers. That’s when police fired fatal shots at Good.

Charleston Police Officer Jerry Jones also died that night as a result of friendly fire.

An investigation by the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department has cleared the Charleston Police officers involved in the shooting of any wrong-doing.

Harrison says that right now all she can do is confirm the suit has been filed and that she will make a comment at a later date.
