Motorcyclist Killed in Florida Accident
An unidentified motorcyclist was killed late Sunday afternoon following a three-vehicle accident in western Ocala, Florida
Around 5:45 p.m., a motorcyclist heading east on State Road 200 collided with another car - possibly two - at the intersection of S.R. 200 and Southwest 60th Avenue, officials said.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, Ocala Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Wendell Rora said.
It was unclear Sunday evening what caused the accident. Also involved were a Chevrolet sport utility vehicle and a Saturn, officials said.
Florida Highway Patrol investigators were still on the scene, trying to piece together how the three vehicles became entangled.
The FHP report on the accident, including the identities of the victim and the other drivers involved, was expected late Sunday or Monday. It was also unclear if any charges would be filed in connection with the accident.
Florida Motorcycle Accidents
Almost all Florida motorcycle accidents end up with the rider landing hard on the pavement. If you are not wearing the proper gear you will likely end up with fractured bones. Oftentimes the bones fractured are in the limbs - especially the wrists and the ankles. It is only natural for an individual to reach out when thrown from their motorcycle in an effort to cushion the impact. The small bones of the wrist are particulary vulnerable when hitting the pavement. A Utah Motorcycle Accident Lawyer can help you get compensated for your injuries.
