Washington Man ejected from snowmobile
The Kittas County Sheriff’s Office reports that a snowmobiler was killed late Sunday night in an accident near Interstate 90.
The victim, identified as James V. Okada, was traveling at a high rate of speed on East Sparks Road outside Easton.
He wasn’t wearing a helmet. Snow was falling, and the road was slick.
He was found entangled in a guardrail near the westbound exit 70 off I-90 just minutes after leaving the Parkside Lounge, where he was reported to have been drinking with friends.
